Asrafun Nahar Ruba (B. 1991 in Bangladesh) is a contemporary visual art practitioner based in Dhaka and Hague. Currently studying in master Artistic Research at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands.

She achieved a government scholarship to pursue her MFA in painting at Rabindra Bharti University, Kolkata, India, and she graduated with distinction (first position) BFA program in 2017 from the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. In addition to actively participating in various art exhibitions, she also gained experience as an assistant curator in several projects.

Her research is about the intersection of anthropocentric and gender-based power practices. Her artistic journey revolves around challenging societal realities through a gendered perspective and identity. She considers her practice all about creating bonds between different objects and metaphorically leaving an impression of her experiences within the community. Her mediums of expression are drawing, moving images, installations, and body. She admires that history and memory shape the meaning of art through contemplation and situation.
